Ok, so the quality might not be as good as some other camera's but for this price and this many pixels and features its a real bargain. I bought this camera, beacuse its small and robust enough to be carried in my pocket while climbing in Snowdonia and Scotland. Its also not cheap enough that you won't be so worried about it while carrying around.
I actually had my first one stolen while on holiday in S America so purchased another with no hesitation. Photo quality isn't as great as some other cameras but are perfectly adequate as a good record of your holidays! |
Second Casio Purchase. Good value for money BUT...

Bought as a point and shoot to replace my 2006 Exilim which got damaged (RIP)
Pros: Battery life v. good, feature set very good for basic usage and some more advanved features. Dedicated video record button. Form factor v. portable (jeans pocket), one handed photos easy. Flash very good for dark places (e.g. clubs). Face recognition.
Cons (vs. old Exilim):
*Lost some of the flash options (e.g. such as soft flash, there were about 6 on my old camera, now to 3-, auto, on and red eye.)
*By default I find the flash too powerful for bleak weather (daytime that needs flash). You can correct this by reducing the flash intensity to -2 which I find has a better colour balance.
*Powerup and browsing pictures a bit slower I find than my old camera. Still, much much faster than competitor products (thinking some Kodaks I've tried)
*Menu perhaps not intuitive to 1st time user but common issue with ultra compact. My Grandma has one of these and can use it find and she is not techy one bit!
In conclusion, cracking camera for situations that suit the form factor- small, compact, fast access. Snapshots wont have the definition of an DSLR of course but I'd say more than enough quality for family events, nights out and the holiday snapshots.

| Excellent little camera, ideal for pocket or handbag. The only thing letting it down is a plastic case which makes it feel a little cheap as compared to my older EX-S100. Excellent shots and very easy to use. |
