Nikon Quality

I bought this camera as a gift for my 82 year old father ahead of his holiday to Australia.
Apart from the excellence associated with Nikon, I wanted simple to use controls, excellent picture quality and a robust build - it achieved all these requirements naturally.
From the limited time I had with the camera, I was jealous and wanted one myself! |

I have had a digital camera for a about 5 years, it was seriously lacking in the pixel capture department but it took some excellent photos if the light was right; the viewer was very small and in sunlight very difficult to see, so we decided that it was time to buy a new camera.
After hours of research looking at different specifications and reading reviewers comments, most of whom disagreed with one another. I decided that what I was really looking for was just a decent camera, easy to slip into the pocket, a reasonable mega pixel and that was basically just point and shoot and bearing in mind that am not an expert in camera technology.
This camera does all of that; it is comfortably light but still has a reassuringly solid feel about it. The menu is easily navigable without really needing to refer to the manual, all the controls are nicely positioned and the LCD screen is a very good size.
However, the main thing about this camera is that it takes very good photos and you don't need to have a degree in photography to use it, I would recommend it if all you want is a decent camera with a good pedigree that doesn't cost the earth to buy. |
Nice little camera

| Bought this camera for my wife to take with her when she goes on holidays. It needed to be fairly small, light and very easy to use. It is. All of my cameras are Canons, but they are a bit too heavy for her to use, so we opted for a nice point and shoot type. It does all that is necessary without frills and when in 'easy' mode it is simple to use and provides very good pictures, not photographs, they are produced when they are printed out. It does help that it was in a nice shade of red too! Recommended highly, we (I mean she) will be taking it with us (her) on all of our trips from now on and leaving my other gear at home! |
