The Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX lens produces sharp pictures and great color and contrast. Great price for an image stabilized zoom lens!  The Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens is much smaller and lighter than the 70-300 of any manufacturer and much sharper than my Sigma 70-300. The high-zoom-ratio lens is equivalent to a focal length of 88-400mm in the 35mm format. The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens may be one of the cheapest lenses currently on the market, but its optics belie its lowly price. As befits a classic standard prime lens, it’s very sharp when stopped down (especially in the centre), shows minimal chromatic aberration, and has relatively low distortion; APS-C users will also benefit from extremely low vignetting.
