It's one of those Eureka moments when some wisecrack at Samsung came up with a brilliant idea of putting a second screen in the front of the camera - utter genius! Good quality feel and build, pictures are quite bland compared to my old IXUS - but who cares? I've got my two Nikon DX bodies - a D300 and a D60 - in my disposal if I wanted to shoot some serious stuff.
This is the camera to bring when you're out with your mates, on your holiday, on those social gathering when you wanted to get close and personal with someone else.
I used to have a digital Canon IXUS four years ago - took it to Wimbledon, and on my way back to the car park - I managed to bumped into one of my tennis heroes - whoelse than Rafael Nadal - walking on his way out after a match, on his own and there were only three people around the area where he was walking. Took my Canon out from the bag and Raffa obliged to have a picture with me in a split of a second. So holding my prized Canon, I nervosuly aimed the lens to us hoping to show it off to my mates - and you guessed it right - I was out of the frame and only Rafa's shoulder appeared on the camera. Gutted! If only Samsung came out with this idea ages ago - I could have my once-in-a-lifetime moment perfectly framed, if not perfectly exposed.
A five-star rating for Samsung for that genius idea!
Word of warning : This camera takes a MicroSD card, so don't be fooled if Amazon sells you a SD card as a package. Read the whole product description, it'll takes 8GB MicroSD card, so I don't know what seems to be the problem with others. |

| Camera is great but beware this will NOT take a 8gb card,the camera locks up you can only use up to 4gb cards so take no notice of what Amazon will try to sell you with this item, |

| Bought this after seeing it on the TV. It was abit more than I wanted to pay really as I don't use a camera much but we had so much fun with it the first time we used it ,taking pics of ourselves using the front screen that it was worth every penny for that night alone. Easy to use and neat to fit in a bag. Weighs very little and takes a great picture. Not really tried anything else yet but can highly recommend it for ease of use ...all in all good value for money. |
