I agonized over all the different makes of point and shoot cameras. All I have wanted for years is a camera that would take a great picture in low-light without blurring furiously!
I have just got this camera, and WOW, I am so impressed. I took a photo of my husband and son playing games in the living room which is a dark room with a dim corner light. I took the same photo with an older Sony and an Olympus and this camera blew them out of the water! I am so impressed.
I read mixed reviews on amazon.com, I have not taken it outside yet, so cant comment on its effectiveness but its truly awesome in a dark room!
All I wanted was a camera I could take photos of my family and friends in restaurants and dark rooms without a flash and without it blurring - And it so far seems to be brilliant.
Now if they put a 15X zoom like the Panasonic on it and made it waterproof like the Olympus - It would be the best camera EVER! |

I also bought this camera and i have the same issue with this shaddow appearing in photos taken with flash in low light conditions. I thought it would be a big issue but when using the camera i noticed that it doesn t appear all the time. It mostly happens when you take pictures inside, with wide angle in very low light conditions and only when u use the regular flash. The solution is to zoom a little bit and the shaddow is gone. In practice you barely use the widest angle inside and in the dark. I can imagine that it can be an issue for some users but this camera is so great that you will forget about this minor issue which is probably due to the extreme sensitivity of the captor and the fact that it captures 2 times more light than a normal camera. Furthermore, lots of night pictures can be taken without flash with this camera. The low light pictures without fash are really amazing.. noise free, lots of details and the pictures have nice shiny colors.. i have been really amazed by the quality. In day time, the picture are very bright but u can adapt the luminosity. The camera is small, cute... and has a lot of gadgets with are very nice to use. I really recommend it!!
